Valley City State University Planetarium presents “Finding Polaris II,” 2 p.m., room 310, VCSU Rhoades Science Center. No admission charge.

Jamestown College Theatre presents “The Crucible,” 7:30 p.m., Reiland Fine Arts Center’s DeNault Auditorium. Tickets: $7; reserve through the box office, 252-3467, ext. 2435, email tickets@jc.edu or visit the website www.jc.edu and click on “Community” and “Reiland Box Office.” The box office is in room 130 of the Reiland Fine Arts Center. Box Office hours are 3 to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Jamestown College student Courtney Hanson presents her senior voice recital, 2 p.m., in Voorhees Chapel. The recital is free.

The Whoever Can Come Band hosts informal jam session, 1 to 4 p.m., Barnes County Museum, Valley City. Bring instruments and play along. No admission charge.

Daylong ROV fundraiser, Jamestown Civic Center. Doors open, 10 a.m. with face painting, bouncy castle and balloon animals for children until 4 p.m. for freewill donation; silent auction, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.; knoephla soup feed, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., with knoephla soup, crackers, drink and dessert, $3; bands perform starting at 4 p.m. to 1 a.m. with $10 cover charge, $5 charge for minors. Proceeds will go to purchasing an ROV for law enforcement. Event is in memory of Darrin Ackerman.

Baked potato and soup dinner for First United Methodist Church Relay for Life team, noon, at the church. Menu: baked potatoes and fixing with choice of turkey noodle or tomato soup. Freewill offering.

Zonta’s third annual chocolate fundraiser, “Chocolate Fantasia – an afternoon of chocolate and wines,” 2 to 4:30 p.m., Gladstone Inn & Suites. Tickets: $10 per person, available at the door.

Jamestown College Wind Ensemble presents a spring concert, 2 p.m., Reiland Fine Arts Center’s DeNault Auditorium. No admission charge.
