The Jamestown Sun will begin printing its newspaper at a company plant in West Fargo starting Sunday, according to Sun Publisher Bruce Henke. The newspaper will no longer be printed in Jamestown.
The newspaper will continue to be a local product that is created in Jamestown, Henke noted. The newspaper pages will be sent electronically to Forum Communications Co.’s West Fargo printing plant. The newspaper will then be trucked to Jamestown for processing and mail.
In July 2010, the Sun began shipping its pages to West Fargo for printing and distribution but problems with delivery resulted in the return of the printing presses to Jamestown in November of 2010. Henke said those problems have been resolved. The mailroom will continue operating at the newspaper, one key component to getting the product distributed to the public in a timely manner, he said.
