Botanic society to hold luncheon
The Northern Plains Botanic Garden Society’s ninth annual spring luncheon and silent auction is from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 5 at the Holiday Inn, 3803 13th Ave. S., Fargo.
The Northern Plains Botanic Garden Society’s ninth annual spring luncheon and silent auction is from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 5 at the Holiday Inn, 3803 13th Ave. S., Fargo.
Guest speaker, entomologist Maurice Degrugillier, Ph.D., will be giving a presentation on “Butterflies in the Garden.” Along with this presentation, those attending may browse through the numerous silent auction items that will include container gardens and other botanic-themed items. Place a bid throughout the event while enjoying a lunch of chicken salad, desserts and champagne, and listening to music from the Borderline Strings.

The NPBGS is also holding its plant sale from 8 a.m. to noon May 12 at the NPBGS greenhouse, located at 1201 28 th Ave. N., Fargo. All proceeds from sales of the locally grown plants will support the Northern Plains Botanic Garden Society in the development of the 52-acre Botanic Garden.
