Loboes take two from F-S-H-P

The LaMoure-Litchville-Marion Loboes improved to 6-6 overall and 3-2 in Region 1 play as they defeated Finley-Sharon-Hope-Page in a pair of high school Class B baseball games in LaMoure on Tuesday night.

Jared Meiklejohn pitched the final ninth inning to notch the victory for the Loboes in a tight 6-5 Region 1 contest. Meiklejohn struck out two in the frame, setting up the L-L-M offense to plate the go-ahead run in the bottom of the inning to end it.

Brady Thielges, Tyler Thielges and Kenny Hodem each had a pair of hits in the game to lead the Loboes’ 8-hit attack. Tyler Thielges smacked a double and posted 4 RBIs in the game, including the game winner.

John Storebo went 3-for-4 with 2 runs and an RBI to lead F-S-H-P.

The Loboes scored twice in the first inning of the night cap, and rolled to a 4-2 victory in five innings.

Devin Piehl went the distance for the Loboes, and he allowed just 2 hits and struck out four.
