Letter to the editor: Shame on those who did not attend ROV fundraiser

A lot of time and hard work went into a fundraiser that was held at the Civic Center on April 21.

Volunteers worked hard to raise money for a remote operated vehicle in honor of Darrin Ackerman.

Lots of good food and five fabulous bands were there for this cause also.

Where is the heart and compassion of our community? Shame on you for not being there.

This fundraiser was not for one individual or family. The ROV is for our rescue services and surrounding communities. I just hope for those of you who did not attend Saturday night that your loved ones won’t need the services that involve the ROV.

Thank you to all who donated and to the volunteers who helped.
