Weather wipes out most events Friday
The cold and wet weather threw a blanket over a busy Friday of scheduled events for the Jimmies and Blue Jays. The Black-White Scrimmage for the Jamestown College football team was canceled.
The cold and wet weather threw a blanket over a busy Friday of scheduled events for the Jimmies and Blue Jays.
The Black-White Scrimmage for the Jamestown College football team was canceled.
The Jimmies began spring practice on April 9.
Head coach Shawn Frank said on Thursday the team stayed healthy and a lot was accomplished this month, especially in regards to installing a new offensive under coordinator Tim Belmore.
The Jimmies now head into summer workouts with the season-opener set for Aug. 24 against Rocky Mountain College in Miles City, Mont.
Their home-opener is Sept. 1 against the Concordia Cobbers.
The 58th Annual Al Cassell Relays were moved on Thursday from Saturday to Sunday and will begin at noon.
The Blue Jay baseball, girls’ tennis and track meet in Fargo were all washed out.
Make-up date for the baseball games against Bismarck St. Mary’s is Monday at 4:30 p.m.
