One person sentenced on felony charge

One person was sentenced on a felony charge recently in Southeast District Court. Jennifer Ann Dooley, 24, Spiritwood, N.D., pleaded guilty to a charge of theft of property lost, mislaid or delivered by mistake. The charge is a Class C felony.

One person was sentenced on a felony charge recently in Southeast District Court.

Jennifer Ann Dooley, 24, Spiritwood, N.D., pleaded guilty to a charge of theft of property lost, mislaid or delivered by mistake. The charge is a Class C felony.

Dooley was accused of retaining an American Express debit card she knew had been lost by another individual.

Judge Thomas E. Merrick sentenced Dooley to a one-year deferred imposition of sentence and 20 hours of community service. She is also required to pay a $25 community service supervision fee, $200 criminal administration fee, $100 defense/facility administration fee and $25 victim-witness fee.

A Class C felony is punishable by five years in prison and $5,000 in fines.
