Hooked on Scouting fishing event Thursday

Hooked on Scouting, a family evening of fishing, will begin at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday at Jamestown Reservoir. New Cub Scouts will go fishing and enjoy a picnic with their parents and family members. Hot dogs, chips and a drink will be provided to Cub Scouts and their family members.

Hooked on Scouting, a family evening of fishing, will begin at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday at Jamestown Reservoir. New Cub Scouts will go fishing and enjoy a picnic with their parents and family members. Hot dogs, chips and a drink will be provided to Cub Scouts and their family members.

The cost to attend Hooked on Scouting is $13 per new Cub Scout (no cost for family members). The $13 fee includes the 2012 Cub Scout membership fee. Parents will be asked to complete an application to join Cub Scouting at the event. The cost for Cub Scouts already registered in the program is $5.

Cub Scouting is for boys completing kindergarten through fifth grade. Cub Scouting combines camping and outdoor activities, sports, academics, and more in a fun program that helps families teach ideals such as honesty, good citizenship and respect.
