Annual dues of $5 are due.

In April, 18 Jewels of the Prairie met at the Community Action Food Pantry. A light summer picnic of chicken and potato salad from Hugo’s was served followed by ice cream treats. RaeAnn Kracht, Community Action food pantry coordinator, gave a presentation of the different projects of Community Action and, in particular, the food pantry. This not only includes providing two weeks of food to those in need but the backpack program for schools as well as educational material on how to prepare food.

Clara Christ was welcomed as a new Red Hatter at the meeting. April birthdays were acknowledged.
