Measure 3 topic at Rotary meeting

The Wine and Brew-Ha-Ha tasting event fundraiser last week had a great turnout, the club reported. Dina Laskowski along with students from Jamestown College will again implement the Book it Forward program in the local elementary schools with Rotary’s continued support purchasing the books and printing the certificates. Mill Hill clean-up will be scheduled for June.

Rick Pfeiffer introduced Chris Dodson, executive director and general counsel for the North Dakota Catholic Conference, who spoke on Measure 3. This initiated measure would add a new section to article I of the North Dakota Constitution and is known as the North Dakota Religious Freedom Amendment. The amendment is aimed to preserve religious liberty in North Dakota.

Jason Connolly has today’s program on the topic of hospice. Curt Liechty will give the invocation, Katie Andersen will be the song leader, and Tokach will be sergeant at arms.
