Loboes sweep a pair

The LaMoure-Litchville-Marion Lobes picked up a pair of Region 1 victories on the baseball diamond vs. Hankinson-Fairmount in LaMoure on Monday.

The Loboes collected just three hits in Game 1, but 9 Hankinson-Fairmount errors helped contribute to a 6-2 L-L-M victory. Jared Meiklejohn struck out 11 batters and earned the victory for the Loboes, while Zach Stemen led the team at the plate going 1-for-3 with a double, 1 run and 3 RBIs.

L-L-M rifled off 9 hits and scored 10 runs in the five-inning nightcap. Tanner Carlson struck out 5 and earned the victory on the mound. Stemen went 3-for-3 with a double, 1 run and 2 RBIs, while Carlson helped his cause on offense going 3-for-4 with 2 runs scored and 2 RBIs.

LaMoure-Litchville-Marion improved to 9-7 overall and 6-2 in Region 1 play with the pair of victories.
