One person was transported to Jamestown Regional Medical Center following a Saturday car accident.

The accident happened around 7:50 a.m. in the 1100 block of Fifth Avenue Northeast.

Savannah Lies, 27, 1700 11th Ave. NE, #13, was driving a 1990 Dodge passenger car northbound on Fifth Avenue.

Melissa Barnick, 29, Montpelier, was driving a 2008 General Motors southbound following the curve in the 1100 block of Fifth Avenue Northeast.

Lies was transported to Jamestown Regional Medical Center via ambulance after she reported neck pain. She was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.

There was $4,000 in damage to the Dodge and $3,000 to the GM.

Lies was cited for driving under the combined influence of alcohol and or drugs, driving under suspension and drove without liability insurance.
