Man sentenced for sex abuse

GRAFTON, N.D. (AP) — A Grafton man has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for sexually abusing three different victims in crimes that spanned 23 years.

GRAFTON, N.D. (AP) — A Grafton man has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for sexually abusing three different victims in crimes that spanned 23 years.

The Grand Forks Herald reported that 66-year-old DuWayne C. Glende also will be under five years of supervised probation and must pay $1,075 in fines. He agreed to plead guilty to three counts of gross sexual imposition after initially being charged with 12.

Authorities said Glende sexually abused one girl from 1986 to 1991 and another from 1990 to 1994.

He pleaded guilty to sexually abusing a third girl from 2007 to 2009.
