Waldie is co-owner of Hofmann Trucking, which was started in 1999. Since 2008 it has been highly involved in the oil fields of Western North Dakota. There are 210 drilling rigs in the state, keeping them in business for the next five to 10 years, Waldie said. Seventy-five direct and 75 contract employees are employed and primarily haul crude oil.
Tim Burchill led the meeting attended by 22 members. It was Spouse’s Day so the following guests were in attendance: Ruth Urdahl, Rod Wilhelm and Marlene Axtman. Wes Hart led the group singing accompanied by Sharon Caine. Mitch Brecto collected “Happy Dollars” for pediatric care at Jamestown Regional Medical Center. The club also held “skip-a-meal,” where members are asked to donate the funds of one meal to the worthy cause.
