Moneks speak at Toastmasters

Jamestown Toastmasters met May 1.

Toastmaster Bryan Jones shared thoughts and information about May Day.

Speaker Martin Monek gave a speech called “Running on Yellow.”

Table Topics Master Anita Monek called on all members present to share impromptu speeches about which office in Toastmasters they would like to hold and why? Melissa Goodrich, Bryan Jones, Martin Monek, Deb Alber and Anita Monek all participated in table topics.

Jones evaluated Martin Monek’s speech.

Ah-counter/grammarian Alber found only a few errors during the meeting.

General evaluator Anita Monek shared her thoughts on the overall quality of the meeting.

Deb Alber was timer and joke master. She received the award for best table topics.

The meeting continued with a speech by Anita Monek that was evaluated by Goodrich.

Toastmasters will meet at 6 p.m. today in the basement of the St. James Basilica.

Toastmaster will be Alber and the speaker is Rick Scott.
