JMS sweeps Valley, Central Prairie

The Jamestown Middle School baseball team swept Valley City and Central Prairie last week.

Andrew Hornung got the win on the mound in a 3-2 decision over Valley City. Tran Zerface, Brandon Harr, Tanner Lunzman, Hornung and Bryton Dewald had singles.

Lunzman doubled, tripled and had four RBIs as JMS completed the sweep of the Hi-Liners, 8-4. Paxton Kleinknecht and Andrew Norenberger added two singles each. Carson Kopperud and Carter Weiser also had hits.

Nick Schaack had two hits and Seth Kenna doubled as they won Game 1 over Central Prairie, 5-4.

Seth Horn had two safeties in the nightcap, one of them a double, as the Blue Jays won 5-3. Nolan Kratz doubled and had two RBIs, while Lunzman and Zerface each singled.
