Ulmer, Rode

Ashton Ulmer, Fullerton, N.D., and Ethan Rode, Marion, N.D., announce their engagement and forthcoming marriage.

Parents of the couple are Gary and Tracy Ulmer, Fullerton, and Gene and Sherry Rode, Marion.

Grandparents are Charlie and Mary June Podoll, LaMoure, N.D., the late Walter and Leona Ulmer, Violet Gray, Jamestown, the late David Gray, Shirley Gray, Yutan, N.D, and the late Herb Rode.

Ashton is a 2005 graduate of LaMoure High School, LaMoure, and a 2011 graduate of Valley City State University, Valley City, N.D. and North Dakota State University, Fargo, N.D., with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and human development. She is a sixth-grade teacher at Minnewaukan Public School, Minnewaukan, N.D.

Ethan is a 2008 graduate of Marion High School, Marion, and a 2011 graduate of Minnesota State Community and Technical College, Moorhead, with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice.

A July 7 wedding is planned at Trinity Lutheran Church, Jamestown, followed by a reception at the Jamestown Civic Center.
