Area students accepted to JC
Several local students were accepted to Jamestown College beginning in fall 2012. Matthew Baumgartner, Jamestown, is the son of Stewart and Lisa Baumgartner. He will graduate this spring from Jamestown High School, where he has been active in drama, speech and National Honor Society. He plans to major in criminal justice at Jamestown College. JC has awarded him a Trustee Scholarship, Alumni Referral Award and Journey Award.

Brianna Boehm, Jamestown, is the daughter of Leon and Christi Boehm. She will graduate this spring from JHS and plans to major in nursing or psychology at Jamestown College. JC has awarded her a Trustee Scholarship and Journey Award.
Joseph Jensen, James-town, is the son of Frank and Stephanie Jensen. He will graduate this spring from JHS, where he has been active in National Honor Society, Science Olympiad, French Club, FBLA, track and field, speech and cross country. He plans to major in biology at Jamestown College and compete in track and field and cross country for the Jimmies. JC has awarded him an Honor Scholarship and Men’s Track and Field Award.
Jordan Johnston, Jamestown, is the son of Andrew and Jill MacLeod. He is a 2009 graduate of Bluefield High School, Prince Edward Island, Canada, and attended Saint Francis Xavier University. He plans to major in criminal justice at Jamestown College and play football for the Jimmies. JC has awarded him a Success Award and Football Award.
Eric Knodel, Cleveland, is the son of Kevin and Becky Knodel. He will graduate this spring from Medina High School, where he has been active in basketball, baseball and FFA. He plans to play basketball for the Jimmies and is deciding on a major.
Maria Simonsen, Kensal, is the daughter of Darci and Jacqueline Simonsen. She will graduate this spring from Kensal Public School, where she has been active in track, basketball, volleyball, yearbook, civic club, photography club, culture club and band. She plans to major in health and fitness administration/exercise science at Jamestown College. JC has awarded her a Trustee Scholarship, Alumni Referral Award, Journey Award and Women’s Track and Field Award.
Anthony Smith, Jamestown, is the son of Jim and Karen Smith. He will graduate this spring from JHS, where he has been active in football, baseball and DECA. He plans to play football for the Jimmies and is deciding on a major. JC has awarded him a Success Award, Alumni Referral Award and Football Award.
Chelsey Staloch, Jamestown, is the daughter of Corey and Bonnie Staloch. She will graduate this spring from JHS, where she has been active in golf and drama. She plans to major in elementary education at James-town College. JC has awarded her a Success Award.
Amber Thu, Jamestown, is the daughter of Bob and Vicki Thu. She will graduate this spring from JHS, where she has been active in newspaper/annual staff, National Honor Society and Student Council. She plans to major in nursing and art at Jamestown College. JC has awarded her an Honor Scholarship, Alumni Referral Award, Journey Award and Sibling Award.
Nathan Willer, Jamestown, is the son of Jeffrey and Maria Willer. He will graduate this spring from JHS, where he has been active in basketball, track, DECA and band. He plans to major in business administration at Jamestown College and compete in track and field and basketball for the Jimmies. JC has awarded him a Trustee Scholarship, Men’s Basketball Award and Men’s Track and Field Award.
