These locations, along with CHS locations representing 287 communities across the country, raised a combined total of more than 2.45 million meals for hungry families in the second annual CHS Harvest for Hunger food and funds drive by the Country Operations division of CHS.

“We’re thrilled to report that CHS Harvest for Hunger surpassed its goal of 2 million meals,” said Carl Younce, regional manager. “Our thanks to everyone who participated. Together we proved how much the country cares about helping others in need.”

Area CHS locations involved in the project included South Central Grain, Napoleon, and Dakota Prairie Ag, Edgeley.

In addition, CHS Country Operations bolstered donations to CHS Harvest for Hunger with contributions to local communities to help friends and neighbors.

In just 16 days, CHS employees, customers and partners collectively raised the equivalent of 2.45 million meals for hungry families, including 652,000 pounds of canned and fresh foods, and $360,000 in cash and grain for regional food banks. Not only did this surpass the goal for 2012, it was about 450,000 meals more than were collected in 2011.
