L-L-M splits with Squirrels

The LaMoure-Litchville-Marion Loboes fell in the Region 1 contest to Central Cass 7-4 in LaMoure on Tuesday night, but the Loboes bounced back in the nightcap 7-6.

The Squirrels scored four times in the third and three more times in the fourth to go up 7-0 against the Loboes in the first game. Ross Rodermacher picked up the victory for Central Cass, as Ellery Bresnahan, Chad Rehovsky, Ben Sundquist and Nick Wilcox each had a 2-hit game.

Tanner Carlson shouldered the loss for the Loboes, giving up four earned runs on 7 hits through 4 innings. Tyler Thielges went 1-for-4 with 3 RBIs to lead the Loboes offensively.

In the second non-region contest, the Loboes scored twice in the bottom of the fourth to battle back to a one-run, 7-6 victory.

Devin Piehl tossed all five innings for the Loboes, walking none and striking out three. Piehl also went 2-for-2 at the dish with a double and 3 RBIs.

LaMoure-Litchville-Marion is now 12-10 overall and 7-4 in Region 1 play.
