Jamestown Fire Department calls April 27-May 10:
April 27: 12:4 p.m., fire department responded to Interstate 94 and U.S. Highway 281 exit 258 to a report of a semi on fire. Firefighters extinguished the fire and investigated. Cause: electrical systems malfunction in the engine compartment. No firefighter injuries. Time out: 35 minutes.
April 28: 1:06 p.m., ready squad responded to 1810 Seventh Ave. NW, single family dwelling, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire; none was found. Cause: damper closed on fireplace. Time out: 40 minutes.
April 29: 5 p.m., ready squad responded to 1300 Second Place NE, Eventide at Hi-Acres, to investigate a fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire; none was found. Cause: unintentional alarm activation. Fire alarm was reset. Time out: 20 minutes.

May 10: 3:11 p.m., Stutsman County Dive Team responded to Pipestem Dam (west end), to a report of two persons stranded in a boat on a sandbar. North Dakota Game and Fish Department rescued the two persons. Dive team assisted in the removal of their boat. No injuries. Time out: one hour, 30 minutes.
