Valley City VFW post installs officers
VFW Post 2764 of Valley City installed the 2012 officers at April’s meeting. Keith Hovland begins his third term as post-commander, Ron Tolstad is vice commander, Tom Nix is junior vice commander, Jim Verway fills the quartermaster role, Gene Heise chaplain, Jim Riden employment officer, and Jim Verway, veterans service officer.

The Valley City VFW Club encourages qualified veterans to contact the local club to join and learn of the benefits of belonging to the group. Activities include Color Guard services (parades, funeral services, etc.), public service events, assisting with Maintenance Fund breakfasts, the camaraderie of regular meetings and an opportunity to serve in leadership roles within the club.
