Kindred claims Region 2 golf tourney

CARRINGTON — Kindred’s David Tally shot a 72 en route to medalist honors at the Region 2 boys golf meet on Tuesday.

Tally edged teammate Tyler Holland by one stroke for the honor. The Vikings finished with a 299, five better than runner-up Fargo Oak Grove. Central Cass finished third with a 324.

Oak Grove had the third- and fourth-place finishers in Ben Goehring (74) and Mike Rustvang (75). Carrington’s Nick Blaskowski rounded out the top five with a 76. Carrington’s Logan Schumann also placed in the top 10, tying for eighth with a 78.
