One injured after I-94 crash

A Medina, N.D., woman was treated for injuries following a Friday morning car accident, according to the Stutsman County Sheriff’s Office. The accident happened around 5 a.m. close to the western border of Stutsman County on Interstate 94.

A Medina, N.D., woman was treated for injuries following a Friday morning car accident, according to the Stutsman County Sheriff’s Office.

The accident happened around 5 a.m. close to the western border of Stutsman County on Interstate 94.

Jerett Coulter, 53, Dilworth, Minn., was driving a 2002 Volkswagen passenger car westbound on I-94 a few miles west of Medina.

Madeleine Dewan, Medina, was driving a 1992 Chrysler also westbound on I-94.

Dewan was struck from behind by Coulter. The Chrysler entered the right ditch and came to rest. Dewan was transported via ambulance to Jamestown Regional Medical Center for treatment of a possible injury.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts.

There was an estimated $15,000 in damage to the Volkswagen and $3,000 to the Chrysler.

Coulter was issued a citation for care required.
