BISMARCK (AP) — North Dakota National Guard soldiers are conducting weekend training on the Missouri River south of Bismarck.

The Guard said nearly 150 soldiers will be conducting rafting operations, clearing trees and improving trails. The Kimball Bottoms area will be closed to vehicle traffic in the interest of public safety. The river will remain open to the public but people are urged to use caution.

The training runs from Friday evening through midday Sunday.
