Endless Harvest awarded $68,000

The North Dakota Agricultural Products Utilization Commission awarded funding requests for five projects totaling $280,311 at its quarterly meeting May 17 in Devils Lake.

The North Dakota Agricultural Products Utilization Commission awarded funding requests for five projects totaling $280,311 at its quarterly meeting May 17 in Devils Lake.

Among the grant recipients was Endless Harvest, Jamestown, which was awarded $68,000 to defray the cost of hiring a consulting firm to explore funding sources, provide representable lettuce types, give educational tours and finalize specific design components of a proposed facility. Lettuce grown will be used for developing market presentation and consumer preferences.

The next APUC board hearing will be July 19 in Beulah. Applications for the July meeting must be received by July 1. Prototype and Technical Assistance grants must be received by June 1.
