MANDAN (AP) — A late-summer trial is scheduled for three people at a Mandan business who are accused of conspiring to sell synthetic marijuana.
The Bismarck Tribune reported that William Nickel, Ryan Zueger and Cassandra Nickel are to stand trial Aug. 23 and 24. They have pleaded not guilty to a felony conspiracy charge.
William Nickel and Zueger are owners of the Big Willies smoke shop. Cassandra Nickel is an employee. The three are accused of buying a plant material with a substance that is banned in North Dakota. They said they were returning the product to a supplier after learning it was illegal when police intercepted the package.
