Utah insurance agent barred from business in NDA Utah insurance agent has been ordered to stop doing business in North Dakota.
BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — A Utah insurance agent has been ordered to stop doing business in North Dakota.
State Insurance Commissioner Adam Hamm says Bart Winterton of Vernal, Utah, operated as insurance producer without being licensed in North Dakota. Hamm's cease-and-desist order bars Winterton from engaging in any insurance business in the state.
Winterton did not immediately return a telephone call seeking comment. He has about a month to request a hearing on Hamm's order.
