Warrant issued for man in Williston shooting

Authorities investigating the shooting of an Idaho man in the North Dakota oil patch city of Williston have issued an arrest warrant for another Idaho man.

WILLISTON, N.D. (AP) — Authorities investigating the shooting of an Idaho man in the North Dakota oil patch city of Williston have issued an arrest warrant for another Idaho man.

Police Detective David Peterson tells The Bismarck Tribune that 37-year-old William Owens is wanted on a charge of attempted murder. Peterson says authorities believe Owens has left the area.

He is wanted in the May 10 shooting of 25-year-old Kenneth Moore Jr. Police say Moore was shot multiple times while sitting in a vehicle and is still recovering from his injuries.

Peterson declined to provide details on any relationship between Moore and Owens or discuss a possible motive.
