A rollover crash killed two people north of Jamestown Tuesday night, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol
A rollover crash killed two people north of Jamestown Tuesday night, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
The patrol said a 51-year-old Pensacola, Fla., man was driving a 1998 Jeep Cherokee southbound on U.S. Highway 52 at about 7 p.m. when he lost control about seven miles north of Jamestown and entered the ditch. The Jeep struck a culvert, went airborne and rolled.
The driver died in the crash. He had been wearing a seat belt.
His passenger, a 41-year-old woman from Oacoma, S.D., was unrestrained and was ejected from the Jeep. She died as a result of the crash.
The Jeep was totaled in the crash.
The victims’ names are being held pending notification of family.
The crash remains under investigation.
