Rotary members to hear from Brecto

Rotarians were reminded of the Camp Rokiwan cleanup scheduled for May 24, which is a joint effort along with Kiwanis. Kiwanis will be providing the meal and Rotarians will be in charge of beverages.

Rotarians were reminded of the invitation invited to the Fargo-Moorhead PM Rotary Club’s charter presentation beginning at 5:30 p.m. on June 5. Tickets for this event are $30. Members are encouraged to sign up for the “Miracle Field” golf scramble at the Wild Flower Golf Course to be held on June 11.

Dave Smette presented the program on the 103rd Rotary International Convention, which was held the first week in May in Bangkok, Thailand, “The Land of a Thousand Smiles.” Thirty-five-thousand Rotarians were in attendance. They were energized to continue to keep up the fight against polio and to use their ingenuity to help reduce global poverty and do great things for a better world.

Today’s program will be given by Teresa Brecto on the Salvation Army, Tom Boerger will give the invocation, Casey Stoudt will lead the songs and Carrie Orn is sergeant-at-arms.
