ND APUC grants 5 funding requests

A state Commerce Department program that helps fund developers of North Dakota farm products is giving money to five projects this quarter.

BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — A state Commerce Department program that helps fund developers of North Dakota farm products is giving money to five projects this quarter.

The Agriculture Products Utilization Commission grants total more than $280,000. The largest grant is $103,000 for a dairy product business in Sterling.

Other projects getting money include a Bismarck-based partnership of manufacturers, a company considering a local foods cooperative in Bismarck-Mandan, a Bismarck biomass company and a proposed Jamestown lettuce facility.

APUC will hold its next grant hearing July 19 in Beulah.
