Fort Seward topic at event

Keith Norman will present a talk titled “Why was Fort Seward Here?” tonight at the Fort Seward Historic Site. The talk begins at 7 p.m. on the grounds of the fort and will be moved into the interpretive center in case of inclement weather.

Keith Norman will present a talk titled “Why was Fort Seward Here?” tonight at the Fort Seward Historic Site. The talk begins at 7 p.m. on the grounds of the fort and will be moved into the interpretive center in case of inclement weather.

Fort Seward was constructed in 1872 and abandon by the army five years later. The talk explores why the fort was placed at this location and what purpose it served.

Historic talks will be held every Wednesday night through the summer months at Fort Seward.
