N.D. man charged with luring minor via computer
A North Dakota man is accused of committing a lewd act through a webcam to an individual he thought was a 13-year-old girl. The Ward County Sheriff’s Department said 41-year-old Joseph Wayne Thompson of Underwood has been arrested and charged with luring a minor using a computer, which is a felony.

The Ward County Sheriff’s Department said 41-year-old Joseph Wayne Thompson of Underwood has been arrested and charged with luring a minor using a computer, which is a felony.
Authorities said Thompson believed he was chatting with a 13-year-old girl. But it was really officers from the Ward County Sheriff’s Department.
Thompson is being held in the Ward County Jail awaiting his initial court appearance.
Jail workers said it wasn’t clear whether Thompson has an attorney. A message left at a number listed for Thompson was not immediately returned.
