Semi stolen in Milwaukee recovered near Jamestown
A semi-truck stolen from Milwaukee, Wis., made it more than 650 miles to Jamestown before authorities tracked it down.
JAMESTOWN, N.D. (AP) — A semi-truck stolen from Milwaukee, Wis., made it more than 650 miles to Jamestown before authorities tracked it down.
KFGO radio reports that the semi was recovered Thursday after being spotted on Highway 52. North Dakota Patrol Capt. Brian Niewind says that the company that owns the truck pinpointed its location through GPS.
Troopers and Stutsman County deputies stopped the truck and ordered the driver out at gunpoint. The driver was taken to jail. Further details weren't immediately available Friday.
