Dryer fire in Cass County jail causes lockdown
Inmates in the Cass County jail were locked down briefly when a fire started in one of the jail's clothes dryers.
FARGO, N.D. (AP) — Inmates in the Cass County jail were locked down briefly when a fire started in one of the jail's clothes dryers.
A statement from the Cass County sheriff's office says it's believed the fire was caused by a mechanical problem. The cause is being investigated.
The fire was reported Sunday night by two jail inmates. They were not injured.
