Edgeley construction to begin June 12

Construction will begin June 12 on North Dakota Highway 13 in Edgeley, according to the North Dakota Department of Transportation.

During the project, Red River Valley & Western will replace the railroad crossing surface at the crossing in Edgeley.

The project is expected to take about two days to complete.

During construction, Hwy 13 will be closed to traffic during construction and motorists will have to take an alternative route.

Alternative routes:

*From the east on Hwy 13, traffic will be toured along Hwy 281 to Sixth Ave. E in Edgeley, then west along Sixth Ave. E to Second Street, and then south to Hwy 13. Traffic can then continue east on Hwy 13 from there.

*From the west on Hwy 13, the detour will begin at Second Street in Edgeley. Traffic will be detoured north along Second Street to Sixth Ave., then east to Hwy 281, and then south to Hwy 13. Traffic can then continue east on Hwy 13 or south on Hwy 281 from there.

The traveling public should use caution when driving through the construction zone.
