Road construction to start in Edgeley

Construction will begin June 12 on N.D. Highway 13 in Edgeley, according to the North Dakota Department of Transportation. During the project, Red River Valley & Western will replace the railroad crossing surface at the crossing in Edgeley.

The project is expected to take about two days to complete.

During construction, Highway 13 will be closed to traffic and motorists will have to take an alternative route.

Alternative routes:

*From the east on Highway 13, traffic will be toured along U.S. Highway 281 to Sixth Avenue East in Edgeley, then west along Sixth Avenue East to Second Street, and then south to Highway 13. Traffic can then continue east on Highway 13 from there.

*From the west on Highway 13, the detour will begin at Second Street in Edgeley. Traffic will be detoured north along Second Street to Sixth Avenue, then east to Highway 281, and then south to Highway 13. Traffic can then continue east on Highway 13 or south on Highway 281 from there.

The traveling public should use caution when driving through the construction zone.
