Letter to the editor: Cramer will bring our values to House of Representatives

I met Kevin Cramer many years ago when he was the executive director of the North Dakota Republican Party and I was doing volunteer work for our Jamestown Republican voting district which is now District 12.

I met Kevin Cramer many years ago when he was the executive director of the North Dakota Republican Party and I was doing volunteer work for our Jamestown Republican voting district which is now District 12.

This year the District 12 Republicans did not endorse any of our local candidates, but chose instead to let each Republican primary voter choose who they want to serve them in the state Legislature. This is also true in other districts. Cramer is giving all the North Dakota Republican primary voters the choice to choose who they want serving them in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Cramer has deep roots not only in the Republican Party, but also in its values of each person’s dignity, freedom, ability, and responsibility. He believes in preserving our national strength — the strength of our military and the strength of a strong national economy. He will work for peace and freedom.

What I have learned about Cramer over the many years is that he is consistently concerned about the people of North Dakota — that our laws and regulations protect the people while working to allow the growth of the economy through the private sector businesses — involving the government only in the functions that cannot be performed by individuals or the private sector. Cramer is knowledgeable and thoughtful. He is willing to speak up and speak out. He values people.

The steady core values of truth, fair, and beneficial to all concerned held by Cramer are important to me. I am confident these core values will remain with Cramer while he is serving as our U.S. representative.
