Artificial turf replacement starts
The Fargodome’s artificial turf field is being replaced, at a cost of $3 million.
FARGO (AP) — The Fargodome’s artificial turf field is being replaced, at a cost of $3 million.
Work on the project started this week.
Fargodome director Rob Sobolik said the first step is to install equipment that rolls the turf onto the field, and retracts it once the football game is done. The North Dakota State University Bison will play football on the new turf.
Sobolik told WDAY-TV the project should be finished in early July, before a national wrestling tournament begins.
