GRAFTON, N.D. (AP) — A Grafton utilities superintendent and three of his employees are facing felony charges in connection with the alleged theft of city property.
Walsh County State's Attorney Barb Whelan says 49-year-old Brent McMillan is charged with misapplication of entrusted property. She did not provide details.
The Grand Forks Herald reports that McMillan appeared in court this week and later posted $20,000 bond and was released from jail. He did not answer telephone calls the Associated Press made to his home on Friday. He faces up to 10 years in prison if convicted.
The three employees in McMillan's department are accused of stealing and reselling used wire and electrical equipment while on the job. They did not immediately make court appearances.
