Letter to the editor: Heinrich is a team player, understands the issues

I thought it appropriate this year to step up and make a brief comment or two about the importance of who we elect as our community representative in the North Dakota state senate. With Dave Nething retiring, this leaves some awfully big shoes to fill.

I thought it appropriate this year to step up and make a brief comment or two about the importance of who we elect as our community representative in the North Dakota state senate. With Dave Nething retiring, this leaves some awfully big shoes to fill.

Without question, I do not believe there is anyone better qualified or more valuable to serve us as our state senator in Bismarck than Dwaine Heinrich.

Heinrich and I voluntarily served on the Jamestown/Stutsman County Jobs Development Board together for many years, working hard to bring new jobs to Jamestown and Stutsman County. I can honestly say there was no one better prepared, who was more concerned, who was more of a team player, or who worked harder than Heinrich in our efforts on JSDC.

There are many, many important issues our state senator will be faced with in Bismarck, but none more important to “our” community than making sure Jamestown and Stutsman County are included in all facets of state (and federal) government economic development projects and plans, both in private and public sector. I am confident Heinrich would be an outstanding outspoken force for us in Bismarck.

Heinrich is an avid hunter, always strongly supporting and working with all the wildlife groups in our area.

His experience serving on Jamestown’s City Council further supports his competence, his knowledge of government affairs, his hard work ethics and his love of our community.

Heinrich is running for this elective office for all the right reasons. Absolutely no one can do our community better in Bismarck than him.

Please join me in voting and supporting Heinrich for the Republican candidate for the North Dakota Senate. He is the man for us in Bismarck and he needs your vote.
