Volunteers donate blood at Wimbledon

Thirty-eight people volunteered to donate at a recent Wimbledon blood drive and 31 were able to give, according to Rob Miller, senior donor recruitment representative, United Blood Services.

Thirty-eight people volunteered to donate at a recent Wimbledon blood drive and 31 were able to give, according to Rob Miller, senior donor recruitment representative, United Blood Services. Ten people gave blood on the automated 2RBC machine which collects two units of red blood cells during the donation, so a total of 41 products were collected.

Rose Ann Fehr coordinated the drive. Others who assisted with the drive were: Dianne Purcell, Gloria Johston, Marianna Rumer, Mary Plumb and Doris Slag.
