Speakers heard at Toastmasters
Jamestown Toastmasters met June 5. Toastmaster Martin Monek shared information about the month of June. Speaker Melissa Goodrich gave a speech on “volunteering.” Speaker Mary Schwartzkopf spoke about “the princess in the mirror,” talking about teaching etiquette to young girls.

Table topics master Heather Goudreau called on impromptu speakers Deb Alber and Bryan Jones to discuss their thoughts on baby-sitting troubles.
Evaluators Deb Alber and Paul Behle gave feedback to Goodrich and Schwartzkopf respectively on how well they presented their speeches and where there could be improvement.
Ah-counter/grammarian Jones let members know where he heard ahs, ums and other speaking errors during the meeting.
General Evaluator Anita Monek shared thoughts about the meeting in general.
Timer and joke master was Paul Behle.
Award for best table topics went to Jones.
Award for best speaker went to Schwartzkopf.
Alber will be the toastmaster today. The speakers will be Masaki Ova and Heather Goudreau.
Meetings are held every Tuesday at 6 p.m. in the basement of St. James Basilica. Anyone is welcome to attend the meeting as a guest.
