Incumbents retained their city seats in the election for Jamestown Public School Board.

Diane Hanson was the big vote grabber Tuesday pulling in 2,772 votes, for her first full term as a School Board member.

“Thank you to the voting public for your trust in me,” Hanson said. “I’m honored to be of service to our students, parents, teachers and administrators. I’ll continue to work hard to improve our school district.”

The retired National Park Ranger Service ranger is a substitute teacher in area school districts outside of Jamestown.

Incumbent Gail Martin hung onto her seat with 2,316 votes — just in front of Dina Laskowski with 2,243 votes.

“It was a close race,” Martin said. “I’m excited for another four years and I look forward to the challenges that face our school district. I appreciate everyone’s support.”

Roger Haut won the other city seat and Terry Anderson won the rural seat.
