Post 19 goes 1-3 in Grafton

LaMoure went 1-3 at the Grafton Father’s Day Tournament over the weekend. Post 19 got its lone win over Park River on Saturday, rolling to a 13-1 five-inning victory.

LaMoure went 1-3 at the Grafton Father’s Day Tournament over the weekend.

Post 19 got its lone win over Park River on Saturday, rolling to a 13-1 five-inning victory.

Devin Piehl got the complete-game win for the Loboes, allowing six hits.

Brady Thielges pounded out three of Post 19’s hits in the win. He tripled and scored three times. Jared Meiklejohn doubled twice. Zach Stemen also collected a pair of hits.

Grafton 9, LaMoure 2

Alex Martinson pitched Grafton to a 9-2 win in the tournament opener for both teams.

It was 2-all after two innings, but Grafton opened it up with four in the bottom of the third.

Brady Thielges and Kenny Hodem each collected two hits for Post 19.

Austin Campbell was 4-for-4 for Grafton.

Midway-Minto 8, LaMoure 7

LaMoure led 7-5 entering the bottom of the seventh, but Midway-Minot rallied to steal it 8-7 Friday night.

Post 19 went ahead with three in the top of the seventh after trailing 5-4.

Kenny Hodem tripled and had three RBIs. Stemen stayed hot with two more hits. Beau Diegel also collected two hits. Meiklejohn tripled and scored.

Velva 9, LaMoure 2

Velva scored five in the bottom of the first and sailed to a 9-2 win over Post 19 in the tournament finale on Sunday.

Derek Fahy went the route on the mound and added two hits offensively.

Post 19 scored single runs in the fourth and fifth. Meiklejohn led the way, going 2-for-4. Stemen singled and Chris Heinrich had an RBI-single.
