BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — An oilfield geologist and a North Dakota State University student are the newest appointments to North Dakota's Board of Higher Education.
Gov. Jack Dalrymple announced the choices Tuesday.
Kathleen Neset is a geologist and owner of Neset Consulting in Tioga. She'll be serving the year that's left on the term of former board member Claus Lembke. Lembke resigned in April.
When Neset finishes her year's service on the board, she'll be eligible to apply for appointment to a full four-year term if she chooses.
Dalrymple on Tuesday also picked NDSU student Sydney Hull as the board's student representative. The student member serves for one year.
Hull is a history and political science major at NDSU. He also works as a web developer and assistant at a Fargo metal recycling company.
