American Legion to hold parade Friday

The American Legion State Convention Parade will start at 6:30 p.m. Friday in Jamestown.

The American Legion State Convention Parade will start at 6:30 p.m. Friday in Jamestown.

The parade will start at the St. James Basilica parking lot and travel north on First Avenue South through downtown before turning toward the Civic Center, which is the convention headquarters.

The parade will include three bands — the American Legion State Band, the Jamestown Drum and Bugle Corps and the Jamestown High School Band — lots of convertibles with dignitaries, two color guards, a National Guard Humvee, the American Legion Riders, the cast from Jamestown High School’s prodiction of “Annie” and four horses from the New West Heritage Riders dressed in red, white and blue.
