Fire calls for June 23, 2012

Jamestown Fire Department calls June 15-21:

June 18: 8:13 a.m., ready squad responded to 2605 Circle Drive, North Dakota State Hospital-Lahaug Building, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire; none was found. Cause: water leaking on fire alarm system. Fire alarm was reset. Time out: 30 minutes.

June 18: 8:34 p.m., ready squad responded to 905 12th Ave SE #7, multi-family dwelling, to investigate smoke scare. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire; none was found. Cause: smoking refuse container smoldering. Time out: 35 minutes.

June 19: 6:21 a.m., ready squad responded to 701 Third St. NW, Anne Carlsen Center, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire; none was found. Cause: fire alarm drill. Fire alarm was reset. Time out: 20 minutes.

June 19: 5:23 p.m., fire department responded to 103 Fourth Ave. SE, CH Carpenter outside storage building, to a report of a fire. Firefighters extinguished the fire and investigated. Cause: juvenile fire play. Investigation was turned over to Jamestown Police Department for further investigation. No firefighter injuries. Time out: 50 minutes.

June 20: 4:10 p.m., ready squad responded to 2605 Circle Drive, NDSH-Lahaug Building, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire; none was found. Cause: alarm system testing. Fire alarm was reset. Time out: 25 minutes.
