Edward Jones has top spot in survey

The financial services firm Edward Jones was named the No. 1 full-service brokerage firm in the June edition of SmartMoney magazine’s Annual Broker Survey.

“Edward Jones bounds back into the top spot in our survey, in no small part because of its stock picking in 2011,” according to SmartMoney magazine.

The magazine said Edward Jones had high marks for client satisfaction and trust in independent studies, such as a recent J.D. Power and Associates study. The firm ranked highest in investor satisfaction, according to J.D. Power and Associates 2012 Full Service Investor Satisfaction Study.

“We are once again honored to receive this recognition,” said Eric Tuchscher, financial adviser in Jamestown. “We consistently have maintained our focus on meeting our clients’ long-term financial goals, and we believe that is best done through a focus on quality investments in a well-balanced portfolio.”

SmartMoney also mentioned that Edward Jones has begun to dive into social media “posting videos about investing strategy to its YouTube channel and tweeting daily on Twitter.”
